Healing Beyond the Body: Why True Healing Starts with a Rested Soul

healing is a union Nov 01, 2024

In a world that constantly offers new diets, cleanses, and remedies, many of us find ourselves stuck in a cycle of pain and frustration.

We pray, make lifestyle changes, detox, and try every suggested remedy, only to feel like we’re still missing something. Sound familiar?

Why Physical Efforts Alone Aren't Enough
As I’ve discovered through my own journey with chronic nerve pain, healing isn’t just about treating the body; it’s about tending to the soul. While it may seem natural to view our physical pain as a purely bodily issue, real healing begins when we address what lies deeper—the soul's unrest.

Without a rested soul, any remedy or lifestyle change is often a temporary fix rather than a true transformation...

My Personal Journey with Chronic Pain
Years ago, a severe sports injury left me in excruciating, daily nerve pain for nearly four years. I prayed for healing, attended miracle nights, and tried every detox, hoping for relief. But no miracle arrived.

Instead, God led me through a deeper process that not only healed my body but also transformed my heart and mind. Something I haven't really shared or taught until now.

I realized that true healing requires a different kind of journey—one that teaches us maturity, resilience, and deep connection with our Creator.

The Root of Disease: More Than Physical
Disease often begins as an internal imbalance, a sign that our soul, mind, and body aren’t in harmony. Conditions like anxiety, burnout, or autoimmune disorders aren’t just external forces; they’re often manifestations of an acidic environment we unintentionally cultivate within ourselves. Healing, then, becomes a holistic process where spiritual peace leads to physical well-being.

Achieving an “Aligned Union”
True, lasting health requires what I call an “Aligned Union,” where our mind, body, and soul work in harmony. This doesn’t happen overnight, and it isn’t about quick fixes. Instead, it’s a daily practice of creating spiritual, mental, and physical rest, giving the body permission to heal. Today’s world, especially the modern Western lifestyle, can disconnect us from natural rhythms and lead to chronic stress and disease. The key lies in returning to a state of rest, realignment, and reconnection with God.

How to Start Creating Inner Peace

  1. Connect to Your Why: Ask yourself why you truly want to heal. Beyond external reasons, such as improving relationships or physical appearance, seek a deeper purpose. It’s this profound “why” that sustains healing efforts over time.

  2. Embrace Consistency: Healing is a journey, not a destination. Cultivate daily practices that bring peace to your soul and balance to your life, like prayer, meditation, spending time in nature, and adopting restful rhythms.

  3. Understand Your Purpose: We all have a “battle to fight,” an area that brings us righteous anger. For me, it’s about helping others wake up to the toxic culture around us, leading them back to wellness. Finding and living this purpose creates meaning and can bring true peace to a restless soul.

Letting Go of the Ego
One of the most liberating truths about healing is understanding that it’s not about us alone. It’s about surrendering our ego, allowing God to guide us in His wisdom. This shift from “I” to “we” is where true healing happens, aligning us with God’s purpose for our lives.
